About Our Fabrics
We manufacture a wide range of premium fabrics including Heavy Rayon, Fendi Rayon, Cotton, Linen King Cotton Slub, Jacquard, Dobby, Twill, Printed fabrics and Semi-suiting fabrics. Our collection spans 500+ variants across these categories — available for boutiques, garment manufacturers and wholesale buyers.
Jacquard fabric is woven on a specialised Jacquard loom that creates intricate, raised patterns directly within the weave — not printed on the surface. This gives it a rich, textured appearance that is popular for ethnic wear, formal garments, sarees and home textiles. The patterns are a permanent part of the fabric structure, making them highly durable and premium-looking without any additional printing cost.
The choice depends on the end use and the aesthetic you want. Jacquard fabric has a built-in pattern with a raised, textured appearance — ideal for ethnic wear, formal garments and anywhere you want a premium, intricate look without printing. Plain weave fabrics are smoother and more versatile — great for everyday garments, linings and designs where you want the print or colour to be the centrepiece. Jacquard costs more due to the complex weaving process but has a distinctly richer, structured appearance.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat is one of India's primary textile hubs and home to many reputed fabric manufacturers. M.P. Collection, based in Narol, Ahmedabad, is a manufacturer with 30+ years of experience offering a range of Jacquard fabrics with intricate patterns and premium finish. We supply directly to boutiques, garment manufacturers and wholesale buyers across India and internationally. Contact us to request samples or discuss your bulk order requirements.
Yes, rayon is an excellent choice for everyday clothing — especially in warm climates like India. It is soft, lightweight, breathable and drapes beautifully, keeping you comfortable throughout the day. Rayon absorbs moisture well, making it cooler than synthetic fabrics. Our Heavy Rayon and Fendi Rayon fabrics are widely used by garment manufacturers for kurtis, dresses, tops and ethnic wear that balance everyday comfort with a polished look.
Rayon requires gentle care to maintain its quality and shape. Hand washing in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent is recommended. If machine washing, use a delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Avoid wringing or twisting — gently press out excess water and lay flat or hang to dry in the shade. Do not bleach. If ironing is needed, use a low-to-medium heat setting while the fabric is slightly damp, or place a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric. With proper care, rayon garments retain their softness and drape wash after wash.
It depends on the garment and the end use. Rayon is softer, more fluid and drapes better — making it ideal for ladies' kurtis, dresses, sarees and formal ethnic wear. It feels luxurious and holds vibrant colours well. Cotton is more breathable, durable and easy to machine wash — better for everyday casual wear, children's clothing and garments that will be washed frequently. If you want elegance and drape, choose rayon. If you want durability and easy maintenance, choose cotton. Many designers use both depending on the season and garment type.
Linen is made from flax plant fibres and is stronger, more textured and naturally moisture-wicking. It gets softer with every wash and is ideal for premium summer and resort wear. Cotton is smoother, more versatile and easier to care for, making it suitable for a wider range of garment types. Linen tends to wrinkle more but has a premium, organic texture that many designers prefer. Our Linen King Cotton Slub fabric blends both fibres to combine the natural drape of linen with the softness of cotton.
Fabric Weight & Seasonal Selection
GSM stands for Grams per Square Metre — it is the standard measure of fabric weight and density. Think of it as how heavy one square metre of the fabric weighs. A lower GSM (80–150) means lighter, more breathable fabric suitable for summer garments, linings and sarees. A higher GSM (180–300+) gives you heavier, more structured fabric suited for winter wear, suiting and outerwear. Always ask for the GSM when ordering in bulk — it ensures the fabric performs correctly for your end garment.
Match the GSM to the end use of your garment: for light summer garments such as dresses, kurtas and blouses, choose 80–140 GSM; for mid-weight garments such as shirts, casual trousers and salwar sets, choose 140–200 GSM; for heavier garments such as jackets, winter wear and formal suiting, choose 200–320 GSM. Also consider the climate the garment will be worn in and whether you need the fabric to flow freely or hold structure. When in doubt, request a swatch and feel the weight in hand before placing a bulk order.
It depends entirely on what you are making and for which season. Light fabrics (low GSM) are breathable, flowy and comfortable in warm conditions — ideal for summer dresses, kurtis, sarees and resort wear. Heavy fabrics (high GSM) are structured, warm and durable — better suited for winter wear, formal suits and outerwear. Most garment manufacturers maintain a mix of both depending on the season and their product range. Tell us what you are making and we will recommend the right fabric weight from our collection.
For summer dresses, a GSM between 80 and 140 is ideal. This range gives you fabric that is light enough to keep the wearer cool while still having enough body to drape well and hold its shape. Our Rayon fabrics — Heavy Rayon and Fendi Rayon — fall in this range and are widely chosen by garment manufacturers specifically for summer and resort wear collections. They are soft, fluid and hold colour beautifully even after repeated washing.
For low-maintenance summer dresses with minimal wrinkling, look for fabrics with a natural drape and smooth surface. Our Rayon fabrics — particularly Heavy Rayon and Fendi Rayon — are popular for summer dresses because they drape smoothly, resist creasing better than cotton or linen, and feel light against the skin. Linen blends also work well for summer but tend to wrinkle more. For the lowest-maintenance summer option with a polished appearance, rayon or rayon blends are the best choice.
The best fabrics for hot weather are breathable, lightweight and moisture-absorbing. From our collection: Rayon (Heavy Rayon, Fendi Rayon) — soft, fluid and breathable, excellent for ladies' wear; Linen King Cotton Slub — natural fibres with excellent moisture-wicking and a premium texture; Cotton fabrics at lower GSM (under 130) — durable, washable and comfortable for everyday use. All are available for bulk orders and can be customised in prints and colours to suit your summer collection.
Wholesale & Ordering
M.P. Collection primarily supplies garment manufacturers, boutiques, fashion designers and wholesale buyers. We do not typically sell single metres for retail use. However, if you have a genuine requirement — whether for a small business, tailoring unit or a creative project that requires a minimum quantity — contact us via WhatsApp and we will discuss the best way to assist you. We work with businesses at various scales.
Most fabric manufacturers and wholesalers sell in bulk because production, dyeing, finishing and delivery involve setup costs that make single-metre retail sales impractical. Pricing is structured around minimum quantities — this is how manufacturers can offer competitive wholesale rates. That said, if you are a designer, boutique owner or small business owner just starting out, you are welcome to contact M.P. Collection. We can discuss suitable minimum quantities and help you access quality fabric at fair prices.
The most direct way is to contact a manufacturer like M.P. Collection directly and explain your requirements. If your order quantity meets the minimum, you can access wholesale pricing regardless of the size of your business. You can also start with a swatch request to verify quality, then scale up to a bulk order. Reach out via WhatsApp or our contact form — we are happy to discuss your specific needs and find an arrangement that works for both sides.

We work with businesses of all sizes — from boutiques to large garment manufacturers.
You can request a swatch by contacting us on WhatsApp or filling out our contact form. Mention the fabric name or code you are interested in, and our team will arrange a swatch sample for your review. This ensures you can check the colour, feel and quality before committing to a large order.
For in-stock fabrics, orders are typically processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 working days. Custom prints and colour-developed fabrics may require additional lead time depending on the complexity of the order. We will provide a specific delivery timeline when you place your enquiry.
